Just a few goodies from Santa and family.  I’m very excited about the First and Second Book of Modern Lace Knitting, by Marianne Kinzel.  I am looking forward to trying a few of these patterns, like Azalea  and Sunray….they are just beautiful.

My dear daughters gave me KNit 2 Together and the Shea Body Butter.  They do know what I like!

I feel I must explain my lack of gift knitting this year…..

I had intentions of knitty hubby a pair of socks, daughters new scarf (although they hardly wear the ones they have due to the Southern warmth!), and some felted alpacas for sister, and the list goes on,  but….

In addition to the normal busy-busy that you have with 2 very active daughters, Girl Scouts, a business to run and such…Mom had knee surgery and we have several elderly relatives of which we are the only younger generation in the area to care for them. 

Needless to say, I’ve not only pulled my Christmas decorations out of the closet, but both Mom and Mom-in-law’s too.  It was actually kind of fun….and of course they were just so glad to have help with it. 

I fear some won’t be here next Holiday season, so treasure my time spent with them now.
